why did he come back after ghosting me
He reappeared after about four months of silence. Blocked everywhere, no contact, and then suddenly he was back, apologizing. He said his mother had needed surgery and he’d isolated himself during the family crisis. He explained that was why he’d vanished and blocked me across social media.
I told him he still could have communicated. I wished his mother well, but I said I’d already moved on and wanted him to stop contacting me.
He kept apologizing. He kept asking for another chance, saying he’d explained and apologized, so could I accept him again? He started asking for more time and attention, repeating that he’d said sorry.
I wondered if there was something else. I questioned whether he had entered another relationship that didn’t work out, and that was why he came back after ghosting me. He denied that. He insisted it was all about his mother and her surgery.
It wasn’t the first time he’d behaved this way. Whatever the truth of his explanation, the repeated avoidance was not something I wanted in a relationship.
I blocked him.
What I took from it
An apology can explain past actions, but it doesn't change them. Repeated behavior often speaks louder than words. Trusting your decision to block him respects your boundaries and prioritizes your well-being over uncertain explanations.
